NextFoods Transparency in Supply Chains Statement

As a food manufacturer, NextFoods is committed to ethical business practices and responsible sourcing of our ingredients. In compliance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act, the following statement outlines our efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from our supply chain:

  1. Verification: We acknowledge our use of ingredients with potential risks.  We survey our supply chain partners to evaluate and address the risks of human trafficking and slavery.  We select suppliers who share our commitment to ethical sourcing and require them to certify that they are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Auditing: We conduct annual audits of our suppliers to ensure compliance with our standards and policies.  If we find any issues, we ask that the supplier remedy the situation and prevent it from recurring.  If necessary, we re-source to alternate, compliant suppliers.
  3. Certification:  We require our suppliers to certify that their compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to slavery and human trafficking.
  4. Internal Accountability and Training:  We provide annual training to our supply chain team members on the importance of responsible sourcing and the risks of human trafficking and slavery in the supply chain. All NextFoods’ employees acknowledge their commitment to ethical behavior and responsible business practices annually.

We recognize that eradicating slavery and human trafficking from global supply chains is an ongoing effort that requires collaboration and commitment from all stakeholders.  As a food manufacturer, we are committed to ensuring our products are produced responsibly and ethically.
